We could have been promoted yesterday with a win over Peterborough . . . which we got in what seemed like a tougher game than everyone anticipated. But it was not meant to be with Nottingham Forest spoiling the would be party by getting a draw against Bristol City.

But this now leaves the Toon just needing 1 point from our remaining 6 games . . . so bring on Sheffield United at St James Park on Monday (which I am expecting us to win) and we will be back where we belong in the Premiership!

Was really pleased to see Joey Barton getting himself on the score sheet yesterday!
